Everyone has the right to be listened to, to speak up for what they want and to have their views and wishes respected – especially when it comes to official decisions that directly affect them. This can be extremely confusing and challenging for the most vulnerable people in society. They can benefit from expert support to gain the information and skills needed to reach informed decisions. They need to be empowered to fully participate in the social care, health or education decisions in which they are involved. We provide one-to-one advocacy services to ensure our clients' voice is heard and needs are met. We strive to create effective partnership arrangements between our clients and the relevant local authorities and statutory agencies. |
Child & Young Person Advocacy
The right of children and young people to participate in decision making processes which affect them is embedded in UK law and in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Our services are designed to give vulnerable children the voice they deserve, including supporting their right to make complaints. We have specialist experience in working with children with learning difficulties and disabilities as well as children and young people in the care system. Adult Advocacy
We provide a range of advocacy services for vulnerable adults, including people with mental health issues, disabled people and older people. We support people to understand the choices available to them, make complaints about their care, ensure they have access to the correct information and services, and help them to have their care needs met. |
